Bahati reveals why he will wed Diana Marua on October 20

Kenyan singer Kevin Bahati has officially announced that his wedding with his partner, Diana Marua, will take place on October 20, 2025.
The couple, known for their openness about their love journey, shared the news during their special event, ‘The Bahatis’ Big Day,’ on Saturday, March 1, 2025.
Speaking at the event, Bahati revealed that they chose October 20 as their wedding date because it marks their anniversary.
“We are doing our wedding on October 20, 2025. The reason is that it is our anniversary month and date,” Bahati revealed.
Engagement
Bahati and Diana first met in 2017 through a mutual connection when Bahati was searching for a female model for one of his music videos. Their friendship blossomed, eventually turning into a romantic relationship. They tied the knot in 2018 and have since built a strong family unit together.
The couple is raising five children: three biological children, an adopted son, and Bahati’s firstborn daughter, who joins them during school holidays. Their dedication to family has been a significant part of their public image, with many admirers praising their parenting journey.
The wedding announcement comes shortly after Bahati proposed to Diana as part of an elaborate celebration for their eighth anniversary. On February 22, 2025, Bahati shared the news on social media, revealing that Diana had accepted his proposal. The proposal was one of the eight gifts he planned for their milestone celebration.
Gifting spree
Bahati has been making headlines with a series of lavish surprises for his wife, beginning on Valentine’s Day, February 14, 2025.
On that special day, Bahati astonished Diana with a grand gesture worth Ksh8 million as a symbol of their love. While enjoying a romantic picnic, he handed her Ksh5 million in cash and revealed that an additional Ksh3 million had been deposited into her bank account. He explained that the amount was a tribute to their eight-year journey together and hinted that even bigger surprises were on the way.
True to his word, Bahati kicked off an extraordinary eight-day gifting spree from February 17 to February 25, ensuring each day brought a new, memorable surprise for his wife.
On February 17, he made a heartfelt move by honouring Diana’s father, despite their past differences. As a gesture of reconciliation and goodwill, Bahati gifted his father-in-law a brand-new Toyota Axio worth approximately Ksh1.9 million, emphasizing his commitment to strengthening family ties.
Just a few days later, on February 20, Bahati stunned Diana yet again with a gift beyond her wildest dreams—a 42-unit apartment complex in Ruiru. This major investment aligned perfectly with Diana’s longtime ambition to delve into real estate, a passion Bahati said he wanted to support. Overwhelmed with gratitude, Diana expressed her deep appreciation, calling her husband her biggest blessing.
“Babe, you are my answered prayer; you are my everything. You are our greatest blessing, and thank you so much,” she said.
The grand finale of Bahati’s extravagant show of love came in the form of a luxurious Ksh45 million Mercedes Benz G-Wagon Brabus, the eighth and final surprise in his spectacular series of gifts for Diana.
