In his efforts to blur boundaries, singer Bahati is spurring a new debate around Mugithi fans which has resulted in a tussle between Mugithi singers Waithaka wa Jane and Samidoh’s fans on who is the best bet to do a collabo with.

This debate follows Bahati’s new hint teasing a new project with one of the Mugithi singers.

Taking to social media, he asked fans to suggest the tribe he should work with saying; “Let’s Vote… Mention/ Tag a Musician from your tribe that I should Collabo with Next.”

In an update, he said most suggested that he should collaborate with a Kikuyu artiste. He would then later share a poster asking fans to drop the names of who it should be.

“Name your favourite Mugithi artist 💥💥💥 Male & Female,” he wrote.

Netizens took to the comment section and it was not a surprise to see most suggesting Samidoh and the upcoming singer Waithaka wa Jane whose rising popularity has kept fans on their toes eager to see unique and exciting partnerships within the industry.

In his music career, Bahati has been making strides to connect with countrywide fans of music by working with different singers and notably, collabos with Luo musician Prince Indah continue to dominate the music charts.

The two best-performing songs with him include ‘Adhiambo’ done in English, Swahili and Dholuo and another one dubbed ‘Abebo’.

With the new project coming up, fans can rest assured of getting to see something completely unexpected and exceptional.
