TikTok content creator Aq9ine has hit out at Kenyans on social media for trolling him after claiming that he ate a spider.
In the past week, the content creator sparked reactions after sharing a video with a swollen face which he said was as a result of eating the insect.
Bitten by a spider
In an interview with YouTuber Nickolas Kioko, Aq9ine clarified that he did not eat a spider but he was beaten by it.
The TikToker said he claimed that he had eaten the insect since he was tensed; and he was experiencing anxiety issues.
“I told you not to believe everything you see on social media. I don’t eat a spider. How can you eat a spider? Spider has unique body parts how can you eat such a thing? I said I had eaten a spider out of anxiety. I was bitten by a spider here,” he said.

He noted that he was bitten by a spider while going about his business at a construction site where he works.
Aq9ine said he was in the company of his foreman when the incident happened.
“You can’t imagine how I was feeling by that time. Have you ever felt like scratching your two body parts at once? Every part of my body was swollen like my face
“I didn’t eat a spider. I came to realise later that I had said I ate a spider while getting treatment. When I revisited the video I realised I had said I ate a spider,” he said.
Death rumours
Moments after being discharged from the hospital, the content creator dismissed claims that he was dead.
In a statement on his Instagram page, the content creator noted that the death rumours were being spread by people hiding behind fake accounts.
“Ndio kufufuka nimerudi na ile nyoka ya Garden of Eden. Si mnaona nko fiti msiwe na stress. Alafu stori ni mob zinatembea zingine ata si mimi, fake accounts nazo zimejaa
“Kwanza TikTok mshanifanyia mazishi ati nimededi. Ahh, wacha nicheke tu juu kufa nayo si jina iko ka dictionary yangu,” he said.
