Anerlisa Muigai has dismissed claims by Omar Lali that her late sister Tecra loved cocaine and was a heavy drinker.
Lali last week told an inquest into the death of Tecra that the deceased abused drugs and was also an alcoholic.
Speaking to Milimani Court senior Principal Magistrate Zainab Abdul, Lali claimed that Tecra confessed her love for cocaine to him on the third day after their meeting in Lamu in 2019.
He said that Tecra used cocaine brought to her by three men while at a party.
“Three men joined the holiday party and they brought with them cocaine. I asked her why cocaine and she said because naipenda (I loved it),” Lali said
Tecra allegedly fell down the stairs of a Lamu hotel on April 23, 2020, and later died in a hospital on May 3, 2020.
Lali insists that Tecra was very drunk on the fateful day that she fell down the stairs of a Lamu hotel. He claimed the deceased started taking alcohol as early as 2 pm, adding that she was drinking a cocktail when she fell.
Tecra wasn’t using cocaine
Anerlisa Muigai strongly denied claims by Omar Lali that her late sister was doing hard drugs and was also an alcoholic.
Anerlisa responded to Lali’s claims on Instagram Live without mentioning his name.
“I saw someone talk about my sister using cocaine. She was not a drug addict. Even in her pictures, you see glasses of wine. Things to do with cocaine, it is all lies,” she said.
The Keroche heiress further lamented that she was really hurt by Lali’s claims that her late sister used hard drugs and that she was also an alcoholic.
Anerlisa wondered why Lali claims he truly loved Tecra yet he ‘trash-talked’ her during his presentation at the death inquest.
“It hurts because if you loved someone, why come and trash-talk them?” Anerlisa posed.
Anerlisa said if she ever loses someone close to her, she would defend them since they can never defend themselves.
“If I am ever in such a case, I will never come out and talk bad about a person I ever loved. I don’t understand how you say you loved someone then you are here spoiling her name,” she added.
