After months of speculation surrounding the state of their relationship, Alikiba’s wife Khalef is seemingly finished with her marriage and has officially filed for divorce from her husband of three years.

Reports show that she recently filed for divorce from the artiste on February 10 and Alikiba has now been given 15 days to respond to the suit, a failure to which the case would proceed in his absence.

“Should you fail to appear within the time mentioned above, the plaintiff may proceed with the suit and judgment given in your absence,” the court papers read in parts.

In the official divorce documents, Khalef termed their marriage “irretrievably severely broken” and unsafe indicating that their home in Dar-es-Salaam did not offer a safe environment for her.

Further, she accused the singer of being unfaithful in their union adding that there were no hopes of reconciliation.

“The respondent [Kiba] has made a mockery of their marriage by disrespectfully engaging in public displays of infidelity with various women in total disregard of the petitioner’s feelings,” her suit papers read.

“The marriage is irreversibly severely broken with no chance of being salvaged,” she added.

Khalef is now demanding Ksh200,000 monthly upkeep for her and their children as well as medical cover for the two.

Previously the singer had hinted of a possible trouble in the paradise and in 2020 he failed to celebrate her on her birthday confirming their rocky situation.

Khalef and Kiba did their lavish wedding in April 2018.
