Thank Jesus (TJ) Mario Kasela popularly known as Trio Mio stormed the Kenyan music industry after his hit song ‘Cheza kama wewe’ became a sensation nationally.

Ever since he made his way into the Kenyan Gengetone scene, the artiste has bagged several titles, accolades and even made a name for himself.

From singing for presidential candidates to being nominated for awards, Trio completed his High School education in 2022, and Kenyans can’t wait for his KCSE exam results.

Origin

Trio Mio is of Italian descent. His father is of Italian and Congolese heritage while his mother is Kenyan.

His unique name

Thank Jesus (TJ) name was given to him as a way of saying thank you while his stage name Trio Mio was given to him by his elder brother Big Ting Ap.

His breakthrough song

Trio who is the last born in a family of four children has released over 13 songs but Cheza kama wewe was his breakthrough song to stardom and his musical success.

His manager

The artiste’s mother; Sofia Irma Sakwa is his official music career manager.

Trio recorded his first song while in Class 7

The star discovered his love and passion for music when he was in Class Four but recorded his first song dubbed Bazeng in Class Seven.
