Uhuru issues notice for Jubilee Party national delegates conference
Jubilee Party, under the leadership of former President H.E. Uhuru Kenyatta, on Thursday, September 4, 2025, announced a Special National Delegates Conference (NDC) to take place later this month.
Through a press statement dated September 3, 2025, the party confirmed that the NDC will be held at the Jockey Club, Ngong Racecourse in Nairobi on September 26, 2025, beginning at 8 AM.
“Further to our notice of a Special National Delegates Convention dated 5th August 2025 and pursuant to Article 8.1 and 10.1 of the Jubilee Party Constitution, a notice is hereby issued for a Special National Delegates Convention to be held at the Jockey Club, Ngong Racecourse, Nairobi, Kenya, on 26th September 2025,” the statement signed by H.E. Uhuru Kenyatta read in parts.
Agenda for the meeting
According to the notice, delegates will receive a status report from the National Executive Committee.

The meeting will also review, formulate, and approve the party’s constitution, organs, policies, and programmes, and consider any other matters arising.
The agenda is expected to give the party direction as it reorganises ahead of the 2027 General Election. Jubilee leadership has urged delegates to prepare for the meeting, which will run under the party’s slogan Mbele Pamoja (Forward Together).
Uhuru Kenyatta regains grip
The notice was personally signed by the retired Head of State, a clear signal that he remains at the helm of Jubilee Party.
In early 2023, Jubilee had faced wrangles that almost split the outfit, with a section of Members of Parliament, Kanini Kega and Sabina Chege, seeking to take control.
However, Thursday’s communication appears to cement Uhuru Kenyatta’s position and stamp his authority as the undisputed party leader.
The Jubilee Party offices confirmed that the September 26 NDC is the only official convention. Delegates from across the country are expected in Nairobi for the day-long session, where Jubilee will set its path forward.
