Two suspected drug peddlers arrested in Eldoret, several items recovered

Police in Uasin Ngishu County have arrested two people suspected to be behind illegal selling of drugs in Eldoret town.

Brian Taabu Owour, 26, and Cicilia Kefa, 22, were arrested at their house at Action Area in Eldoret North sub-county.

In a police statement seen by K24 Digital, several items were recovered from the house including two sacks wrapped with yellow cello tape approximately 5kgs suspected to be canabis sativa.

Other items recovered were brown envelope containing brown granules wrapped with easy coach nylon paper, two ID cards No. 36536154 and 32963574, 53 sachets containing brown powder wrapped in white exercise book paper, two black portable electronic scale machines, two pairs of scissors and four staplers.

Police statement added: “Also seized were 74 rolls of assorted greenish substance, black tecno mobile imei 35552009286809/17, black tecno mobile phone imei No. 35931107236127/35, nine packets of chochote flavour rolling papers, two master and two red smoking rolling papers, two weighing scale machines white and green in colour and welve packets of menthol flavoured rolling papers.”

Both suspects are currently being held at Railway police station awaiting analysis of seized substances.
