The tragic death of Susan Kamengere Njoki, the CEO and founder of Toto Touch, has taken a darker twist following the results of a post-mortem examination that revealed she was strangled to death.

Addressing the press at Montezuma Monalisa Funeral Home on Tuesday, July 22, 2025, a visibly sombre team of six pathologists, led by Dr J.N. Ndung’u, confirmed that their findings pointed to clear signs of manual strangulation, ruling out any other cause of death.

Dr Ndung’u, speaking on behalf of the entire team, explained that the post-mortem had been conducted with exhaustive precision and that all experts involved were in complete agreement with the results.

“We have done this post-mortem very exhaustively, and all the various parties were represented, and we did the post-mortem as six pathologists, and we are all in consensus with the findings. There is no differing idea, and the post-mortem findings are that there were features of compression to the neck, and those features are in keeping with manual strangulation,” he said.

The pathologist further highlighted that there were unmistakable signs of oxygen deprivation caused by neck compression, which directly led to her death.

“There were also features of lack of oxygen in the blood as a result of neck compression, and all those features are in keeping with the death as a result of manual strangulation, which we are all in consensus,” he emphasised.

He added that while they identified other features linked to underlying health conditions, those were not related to her death and therefore not relevant to the final findings.

Dr Ndung’u also revealed critical information about Susan’s final hours.

“She died hours after feeding, as we found food in her stomach, so she died less than four hours after the last meal. She died in the hospital, not on the way, and that is the story we have, and that is what we have been briefed, as we were not at the scene; that is the information we have from the DCI,” he clarified, putting to rest speculations about the exact timing and place of her death.

The revelations have left Susan’s family in shock and deep pain.

According to a video shared by a local TV station, some of her family members collapsed in grief as the reality of the post-mortem findings sank in.

Their anguish was palpable, as the confirmation of foul play has intensified the mystery surrounding the death of the respected entrepreneur.

The family has since appealed for privacy and justice, calling on investigative authorities to ensure that those responsible are held accountable.

Susan Kamengere was celebrated as a visionary leader, having built Toto Touch into a respected brand.

Her sudden and violent death has not only devastated her family but also shocked the business community and the wider public.

Friends, including Kameme FM presenter Muthoni Baby Top, who was part of her inner circle, have continued to send heartfelt tributes, describing her as a resilient and innovative businesswoman whose life was cruelly cut short.
