Kapseret Member of Parliament (MP) Oscar Sudi has dished out a new set of items in the follow-up to his highly publicized empowerment drive, where over 100 motorcycles were distributed among assorted items worth over Ksh45 million.

In a statement on Monday, July 14, 2025, Sudi said that as a follow-up to the June 6, 2025, empowerment, he had donated another fully furnished matatu, four motorcycles, and hundreds of thousands to a group of 75 in the constituency.

“As a follow-up to the Kapseret Empowerment Program, I’m happy to announce that I’ve empowered Kaleto Sacco, comprising 75 members from Kapseret, Lemok, and Tuiyo. The sacco received a brand new 11-seater matatu, luxuriously furnished, with logbook and number plate,” Sudi said.

Motorcycles and cash

“To further boost their economic prospects, I also provided 4 motorbikes and Ksh600,000 to facilitate membership growth, expansion, and sustainability of the sacco’s activities. This initiative supports community development and economic empowerment.”

“Kapseret Economic Empowerment Programme is crucial not only for uplifting residents today but also for building a stronger, more prosperous future for our entire community,” Sudi said in a statement on Friday, June 6, 2025.

“Today, as part of the Kapseret Empowerment Program, I donated various items—including motorbikes, matatus, posho mills, milk canisters, food trolleys, commercial deep fryers, potato cutters, water tanks, and sewing machines—to support residents in achieving economic self-reliance.”

“I want to congratulate Oscar Sudi; you have done a wonderful job. When I was coming here, I was just told it would be an economic empowerment, I did not know it could be this big,” Mbadi said.

“Niko na pesa ya hawa watu wetu milioni moja na nusu (My contribution to these people is Ksh1.5 million),” Mbadi stated.
