Starehe MP Charles Njagua popularly known as Jaguar is currently admitted to a Nairobi hospital after undergoing knee surgery on his right foot.

Video of him being wheeled in a hospital stretcher inside the city hospital was first shared by musician DK Kwenye Beat on his Instagram page.

He accompanied the video with a goodwill message wishing the MP a quick recovery.

“You are a fighter and nothing can keep you down. Fight the time and have a complete and swift recovery,” he captioned the video.

In a phone interview with K24 Digital, DK Kwenye Beat confirmed to us that the MP was still admitted to the hospital after being operated on in the wee hours of Monday morning.

He said the knee issue has troubled the MP for some time now despite seeking medical attention several times.

“He has been having this knee issue for sometime now. He went to India for treatment but the problem keeps coming. So, we booked him for surgery on Sunday and he was operated on today morning,” he said.

“He is out of the theatre and he is now recuperating. We are waiting for him to gain his strength back so that we can know what next,” he added.

DK Kwenye Beat also allayed fears that the MP could be in critical condition saying he is stable. He urged members of the public not to worry.

K24 Digital was not authorized to reveal the name of the hospital where he is recuperating from.

Jaguar first injured his foot in a standoff that ensued between Nairobi City councils Askaris and traders at Muthurwa market 3 years ago.

The incident saw him admitted to The Karen Hospital where he was treated and later discharged.
