Shock and grief have hit Mount Kenya University yet again after yet another student was stabbed to death on Monday night in love gone soar deal.

The second-year student was allegedly stabbed severally on various parts of her body before her lover caused commotion and disappeared into the dark of the night.

According to police, the young scholar died while being attended to at Thika Level Five Hospital.

A police officer who sought anonymity as he is not allowed to speak to media said the student died as a result of breathing complications while being attended to at the facility.

“The student died while being attended to at a hospital where she had been rushed for first aid,” said the police source.

According to students near the hostel where she was brutally wounded, the girl had an affair with another man and whom she had slept with before her death.

“Someone must have tipped the boyfriend that the girl was having intercourse with another man. This occasioned fury which triggered the man to stab her mercilessly,” said a student.
