Kikuyu benga musician John DeMathew dies in road crash

Popular Kikuyu Benga musician John DeMathew has died.

DeMathew died on Sunday night when a vehicle he was driving, a Nissan Navara, hit a stalled lorry on the rear.

The accident happened near Blue Post in Kiambu County.

DeMathew was declared dead on arrival at the Thika Nursing Home.

Thika Nursing Home confirmed the death to K24 Digital via a phone call.

His body has been taken to Kenyatta University Funeral Home.
