A police officer attached to Deputy President William Ruto’s security detail allegedly committed suicide on Friday by jumping into a dam in Songoliet area in Ngeria Uasin Gishu County.

According to the family, the officer identified as David Too complained of being under immense pressure from unknown people after losing a camera he had arrived earlier with.

Too, a father of eight, is said to have arrived home on Tuesday, December 29, 2020, for a family meeting with a camera which was later stolen by unknown burglars who broke into his house on the same day.

He reported the matter to the police.

The family claims that Too was attached to Ruto’s security detail and that the camera belonged to the DP’s press team.
