Former Nyeri Town Member of Parliament Ngunjiri Wambugu predicted on Friday, September 12, 2025, that Democracy for Citizens’ Party Leader Rigathi Gachagua will immediately engineer a new slogan if Ruto wins his second term in the 2027 poll.

Through his Facebook page, Wambugu didn’t hide that he has been listening to the ground for some time now and that Kenyans have closely watched Gachagua’s political moves over the years.

According to Wambugu, the former impeached Deputy President has mastered the art of rallying supporters through catchy, memorable slogans that capture public attention and influence debates across the country.

The former MP explained that if President William Ruto successfully secures a second term, Gachagua is likely to pivot from his long-standing “WanTam” campaign, a slogan famously aimed at rallying citizens to prevent Ruto from serving more than one term, to something new.

Wambugu suggested that the former Deputy President’s new rallying cry could be the bold and humorous “Finish & Go!!!” slogan, signalling a shift in political messaging while maintaining his signature flair for public engagement.

He emphasised that Gachagua has been a key crusader behind the “WanTam” slogan, which has dominated Kenyan political discourse in recent years, aiming to shape public opinion against a potential Ruto second term, but again challenged him (Gachagua) to at least have solutions.

With this new ‘Finish & Go!!!’ slogan, Gachagua is expected to continue leveraging his ability to connect with supporters while keeping the political conversation alive and dynamic.

“When I asked what you think Gachagua will do if Ruto is not WanTam, the best answer I have seen from you guys so far, He will start a new slogan.
‘Finish & Go!!!’,” Ngunjiri Wambugu wrote on Facebook.

That aside, it remains to be seen how the former second-in-command and self-proclaimed truthful man will navigate the political landmines that could explode at any moment.

So far, it is not clear if the former President Uhuru Kenyatta will back his opposition movement.
