Passengers sustain injuries

The victims sustained multiple injuries and were rushed to Riverside Medical Centre for treatment.

Images from the scene showed rescuers, police officers, and residents working frantically to save passengers trapped inside the partially submerged vehicle.

Some victims were seen lying along the riverbank as emergency teams provided first aid.

Mosiria urged all drivers to exercise caution on the roads to prevent similar tragedies.

“I call upon all drivers to be extremely cautious on our roads. Let us prioritise safety and avoid speeding or reckless driving to prevent such tragic incidents. Every life matters,” he said.
