Retired President Daniel arap Moi was on Monday treated at the Nairobi Hospital for undisclosed illness.
It is the second time in as many weeks that Moi has been admitted at the facility.
On Monday, Moi’s Press Secretary Lee Njiru said the former Head of State was undergoing a routine check-up.
“It is quite normal for any human being to go to hospital,” he said.
“It is the discretion of his doctor to decide whether to discharge him today [Monday] or tomorrow [Tuesday], he said.
A team of doctors led by his personal physician David Silverstein were looking after him, he said.
Moi, 95, travelled to Israel for treatment for unknown ailment in March 2018.
On December 12, he was again admitted at Nairobi Hospital.
