Kisii Deputy Governor Joash Maangi has been arrested by police officers at the Kisii High School where he was with other Tangatanga members awaiting to welcome Deputy President William Ruto.

This after Sunday’s arrest of Maangi’s key ally, former Orange Democratic Movement Kisii County branch chairman, Samuel Omwando.

Omwando was arrested over allegations of planning to cause chaos during the funeral ceremony of Mzee Simeon Nyachae at Gusiii Stadium.

According to police sources, Maangi and other MPs allied to Deputy President William Ruto had mobilized groups of youths to heckle some leaders at the funeral ceremony of the former Cabinet minister.
