Na amesema hivi: karibuni anakuja nyumbani kukabiliana na wale,” he said, which translates to: “I want to assure you he is safe. I have spoken to him; he is resting and has welcomed us here. He also said he will soon come home to meet with everyone.”

The Deputy President also took a clear jab at opposition forces, emphasising the strength of Kenya’s inclusive political alliances, noting they are no match for them and will defeat them come 2027.

“I see some people already trying to undermine the broad-based alliance, but they cannot succeed,” he said, stressing that cohesion and collaboration among leaders in the alliance will prevail.

Kindiki further urged Kenyans to respect leaders across the political divide.

“We wish him well, and when he comes back and shakes hands with Ruto, those are our leaders. We respect them,” he said, envisioning the gesture as a symbol of national reconciliation.
