Nairobi businessman and presidential aspirant Jimi Wanjigi has linked the raid at his Westlands office by Flying Squad to his utterances over the weekend where he took a swipe at ODM leader Raila Odinga.

Wanjigi said he could not be intimidated by anyone for speaking the truth.

“If some people are not comfortable with my politics because I speak the truth, I will not stop speaking. We have a solid constitution in this country that guarantees us every right,” he said.

The businessman said he was not going to be one of the statistics of people disappearing in the hands of the police.

“Many people have disappeared without a trace and I’ve seen injustices and nothing is happening,” he stated.

Wanjigi wondered why some ‘people’ were uncomfortable with his presidential candidature.

Over the weekend while attending a church service, Wanjigi castigated Raila Odinga for being a ‘perennial’ presidential candidate.

“There is a season for everything and we cannot keep having a season for Raila Odinga. If it was not because of him, this race could have already been won,” he told the congregation.

Wanjigi last year staged countrywide political tours in a bid to dethrone Raila as an ODM presidential candidate.
