ICT Cabinet Secretary William Kabogo has finally responded after becoming the unwitting star of a social media storm, all thanks to an outfit that sent the internet into a frenzy.

A photo of Kabogo in a rather unorthodox ensemble – a crisp white shirt, formal tie, khaki trousers, bright striped socks, and tan safari boots – began circulating widely on X on Monday evening, May 12, 2025, sparking a tidal wave of online banter, memes, and fashion critiques.

By Tuesday morning, his name was trending across Kenyan timelines, with users both mocking and marvelling at the bold sartorial statement.

One user, @chel0goi, joked about Kabogo’s grasp of ICT matters with a sarcastic take:
