Digital content creator Diana Marua is in mourning following the death of her beloved grandmother.
In a social media post, the content creator recounted how her departed grandmother played the role of a mother following the demise of her mother, (Marua).
“I woke up to the sad news yesterday morning that the Lord took the most precious person in our lives. You did everything for me shosho when I had nowhere else to go to. You played the role of being mummy in her absence and for that I’ll forever be grateful,” Marua said.
Marua also revealed how she was affected by her grandmother’s illness that saw her cry severally, however, she noted that she is now at peace knowing that her grandma is in a better place.
“You suffered too much for the two months that you were in hospital. I drove back home from hospital crying, I cried myself to sleep, it was too much for me to handle. I couldn’t take it anymore,” she said.
Adding; “I’m at peace knowing that you are no longer in pain. The Heavens are Blessed to gain an Angel. Give Mummy a Big Hug. I promise that I will continue making you proud.”
In other news, comedian Lawrence Mwangi, otherwise known as Terence Creative today, on Saturday, July 31 led his family in burying his departed grandmother, Mama Grace Wambui.
Mama Wambui was laid to rest in a brief ceremony attended by close friends and family at the Lang’ata Cemetery.
Announcing her death, Terence celebrated her, further thanking God for the time his grandmother was alive.
“Some texts are hard to type, but let me do this: I thank God for the time He gave us with my grandmother, today I took the last selfie with her and hugged her for the last time, I can’t believe we won’t be seeing each other again, I had so much plans for her but God had better and best plans for her,” Terence said.
