How to Increase Your Hustler Fund Loan Limit
Initially, borrowers may receive loan limits ranging from a minimum of Ksh500 to a maximum of Ksh50,000. The ability to increase this limit depends primarily on the borrower’s borrowing and repayment history with the Hustler Fund. The Ministry of Cooperatives and MSME Development notes that:
- The loan limit is reviewed and adjusted based on the borrower’s credit behavior on previous loans.
- Regular use of the Hustler Fund for loans and timely repayments improves the chances of having the loan limit increased.
- Credit history and repayment performance determine subsequent loan eligibility and the potential rise in the loan limit.
- Borrowers who do not repay within the prescribed 14-day period face loan recovery processes and become ineligible for new loans until repayment is made.
- Defaulters incur penalties, including an increase in the annual interest rate from 8 percent to 9.5 percent after 15 days of default, which further emphasizes the importance of timely repayment.
Borrowers should consistently use the Husler Fund loan facility responsibly, ensuring timely repayment to build a strong credit record on the platform.
