Gachagua launches satellite DCP office in the USA

Democracy for Citizens (DCP) Party leader Rigathi Gachagua has launched a satellite office for his party in Seattle, Washington State’s most populous city.
In a statement on Monday, July 14, 2025, Gachagua announced the launch of the office, noting that the DCP Party was expanding its presence.
“DCP Party is now expanding its presence with our very first satellite office in Seattle. DCP Party Leader Rigathi Gachagua officially inaugurated the North Pacific Chapter Satellite Office, marking a new milestone in our journey to connect and serve Kenyans across the region,” the statement read in part.
Kenyans in the USA
Gachagua revealed that the office will serve Kenyans in the diaspora, particularly those in the greater Northwest Pacific region of North America.

“This new office will strengthen our efforts, foster greater engagement, and bring our initiatives closer to the people of Seattle and the surrounding areas. Together, we are building a stronger, more inclusive future,” Gachagua said.
The launch occurred during Gachagua’s two-month tour of the USA, where he is expected to address Kenyans living in various states in the USA on the state of the nation back home.
Maa region party launch
Gachagua is set to launch his party in the Maasai region after attempts to conduct the official launch at the Kasarani indoor arena proved futile.
On June 23, 2025, Gachagua pleaded with the Maa community to allow the party launch to be held in their region, explaining that it was initially planned to take place in Nairobi but was interfered with by the state, with the venue booking being cancelled.

This request from Gachagua attracted cheers from the crowd, who stood up in agreement with Gachagua’s proposal, with them carrying their herding sticks in the air.
“Hii chama yenu ya DCP Mimi naomba mkikubali, sherehe ya kulaunch hii chama yetu tulikuwa tumepanga ifanyiwe Nairobi; mimi naomba mkikubali hii sherehe ifanyiwe kwa wa Maa; mmekubali mtafanya,” Gachagua said.
He went on to say that goons often disrupted his previous meetings, but he believes that once the official party launch is held in the Maa region, there will be no such infiltration.
