Ex-Ugenya MP, his lawyer arrested

The Ethics and Anti-Corruption Commission (EACC) detectives have arrested former Ugenya Member of Parliament (MP) Christopher Karan and his lawyer over alleged forgery of election petition documents in 2017.

Karani’s win in the 2017 general election was nullified and a by-election ordered by the court.

He, however, lost to his opponent David Ochieng in the mini-poll held in April 6, 2019.
