Baringo Senator Gideon Moi was on the wee hours of Saturday morning blocked by rowdy youth on his way to meet Talai elders in Nandi County.

In an amateur video making rounds on social media, a fleet of cars that accompanied the Senator to the meeting with the elders was turned away by youth.

The elders had invited Moi to Kapsisiywa for ”blessings” days after a rival elder group blessed Deputy President William Ruto as the Kalenjin spokesperson.

The 4am incident took place o the Sangalo-Kabiyet route where the youth blocked the road, telling the Senator to leave.

Senator Moi was forced to speak with the youth and it remains unclear whether he was allowed to proceed with his journey.
