Interior CS Fred Matiang’i has imposed a 6pm to 6am curfew in parts of Elgeyo Marakwet, Baringo and West Pokot counties over fighting in Tot area.

According to a gazette notice, the curfew shall apply for a period of 60 days effective Saturday, August 7.

Also, during the said period, there shall be no public gatherings and movements either alone or in a group except if permitted in writing by the Inspector General of Police.

Specific areas affected by the new development are Kolowa and Ngoron in Baringo County, Tot and Chesongoch in Elgeyo Marakwet County and Sekerot and Cheptulel Pokot Central in West Pokot County.
