Bonchari MP Oroo Oyioka is dead

Bonchari Constituency MP Oroo Oyioka has died, Peoples Democratic Party chairman Omingo Magara has confirmed.

Speaking to People Daily on phone on Monday night, Magara said that the MP died at the Aga Khan Hospital where he was undergoing treatment.

“Our party has lost a reliable and vibrant leader,” Magara said.

He said he had talked to his wife and condoled the family and friends.

Oyioka vied in 2017 through PDP party and won the seat.

The MP was among the leaders who assembled at Agricultural Training Centre, Kisii County prior to Mashujaa Day celebrations graced by President Uhuru Kenyatta for the first time at Gusii Stadium.
