Babu Owino defends his record, tells Caleb Amisi to stop being bitter
Embakasi East MP Babu Owino has hit back at Saboti MP Caleb Amisi after claims that the national government was behind the road projects in his constituency.
Babu dismissed the claims, describing Amisi as “a bitter soul” and defending his record as one of the best-performing lawmakers in Kenya.

“I want to tell you that I also thought Caleb Amisi was my friend, but anyway, it is another bitter soul detected,” Babu said.
“I want to advise you that bitterness is like swallowing poison and expecting the other person to die.”
Babu questioned Amisi’s remarks, saying there was no evidence that the national government had carried out any development projects in Embakasi East.
He argued that if such projects existed, they would have been publicly shared like other government initiatives.

“If the national government was doing roads in Embakassi East constituency as mheshimiwa Caleb is claiming, how come the same national government is not doing roads in his constituency or other constituencies? Any road, any project that the national government has ever done, they always post; there is no single road from Embakassi East that has been posted,” he stated.

Says he is Kenya’s best-performing MP
The outspoken legislator also used the opportunity to highlight his achievements, noting that his performance had been recognised nationally.
He said his work spoke for itself and that being ranked as Kenya’s best Member of Parliament twice was proof of his exceptional service.
“I want to tell Caleb that Babu Owino strives to be extraordinary. There is a reason why Babu Owino was ranked as the best Member of Parliament in Kenya, now twice. It means there is something extraordinary in Babu Owino,” he said.

Babu maintained that his main focus was to serve Kenyans and bring positive change to his constituency. He added that he would not be distracted by personal attacks or political rivalries.
“I want to tell you clearly, Babu’s interest is to serve Kenya. I am the best among the rest. People will fight us, but we are ready,” he declared.
Babu insists that his record in service delivery and development stands on its own.
