Ruto says Raila rose above self

“Those who worked closely with Raila Odinga know he was irrevocably stubborn in his vision for a just, prosperous and united Kenya. A nation where opportunities belong to all,” President Ruto said to a standing ovation.

He noted that Raila’s determination to see Kenya progress was unmatched, adding that his leadership was never driven by personal gain but by a genuine desire to see fairness and inclusion prevail.

The president praised the late Raila for always putting the interests of the country first, even when it meant sacrificing his own political ambitions.
