Archbishop Philip Anyolo of the Catholic Archdiocese of Nairobi on Monday urged Kenyans to be careful with the dealing of some social media pages which are using his name to seek contributions from Kenyans.

In a public notice, the archbishop identified the two Facebook pages and explained that they are fake and created to con unsuspecting Kenyans.

He further revealed that there is also a mobile phone number associated with the pages that is also being used to defraud members of the public.

“I am writing to draw your attention to two Facebook pages created in my name as follows: Bishop Philip Anyolo and Bshp Philip.

“I kindly urge all to be careful in dealing with the said pages as well as the phone number +25484606349, since they are requesting money in the name of helping the needy,” Archbishop Anyolo said.
