Three people were killed and two others injured following an attack on an ambulance belonging to the Garissa County.
Among those killed in the Sunday attack were the driver, a female patient and her son.
The ambulance was travelling from Sangailu to Garissa when it was attacked at Hulgho.
The vehicle is said to have hit a landmine and then sprayed with bullets by unidentified attackers.
“My heartfelt condolences to the family and am deeply saddened by the horrendous IED attack that killed 3 people travelling in an ambulance from Sangailu to Hulugho. Those killed include the driver and a patient. I certainly condemn this heartless attack,” said Garissa Governor Ali Korane on Facebook.
