A man has allegedly committed suicide inside Mukuyuni police station in Makueni county.

Police are investigating the incident in which Vincent Muasya, 28- committed suicide using his vest.

His father, Muasya Mutemwa, said he differed with his son for allegedly taking alcohol and going to his hotel to eat.

“He usually comes to the hotel to have supper but on Sunday night we differed because he was drinking and being dramatic. I told the police who arrested and took him to Makuyuni police station,” Mutemwa said.

Mutemwa said his son caused mayhem and declined to listen to him when he was asked to leave for home.

He said that police informed him on Monday morning to go to the station as there was an emergency only to find the lifeless body of his son clinging from the rooftop.

Gideon Kyalo, a bodaboda rider, said he was disturbed by the death of the man saying it is unbelievable.

His body was transferred to Makueni County Referral Hospital morgue.
