Wednesday blackout to affect 6 counties – Kenya Power

Kenya Power on Tuesday announced scheduled electricity interruptions slated for Wednesday, December 13, 2023.

In a statement, the utility company noted that the power interruptions will affect six counties from 8 am to 5 pm.

Counties that will be affected include Machakos, Murang’a, Laikipia, Vihiga, Migori and Kilifi.

In Machakos county, the electricity interruptions will affect areas such as Konza City, AP Camp, Highway Grill, Universal Briquettes, Jiangxi China Intern, KOTDAT Headquarters building, Impreza construction and adjacent customers.

The aforementioned areas will go about electricity from 9 am to 4 pm.

Similarly in Murang’a, the scheduled electricity interruptions will affect areas such as Gakurari Market, Kigio Market, Gichiamuru C/Fact, Giatutu Primary School and adjacent customers from 9 am to 5 pm.

In Laikipia, the electricity interruptions scheduled for 8 am to 4 pm will affect areas such as Bantu Lodge, Kileleshwa, Mureru, Gitero, Naromoru Boys, Giachuma, Nelion, Kandara, and AAA growers.

Areas that will go without electricity in Vihiga include Kima Market, KEFRI, Ebusakami Girls, Asiongo, Luanda CDF offices, Ebusiralo, and Esiamarwi.

The aforementioned areas will experience blackout from 8.30 am to 5 pm.

Migori areas that will be affected include Ikerege, Gamasisi, Nguku, Mohando, Kiomakebe, Tarawiti, Koego, Nyametaburo and adjacent customers.

The areas will experience blackout from 9 am to 4 pm.

In Kilifi, the scheduled interruptions will affect areas such as Vipingo Beach Properties, Utalii College, Bureti Vipingo H/Centre, Vipingo Makaburini Estate, Palm Ridge Estate, Shariani Madrassa, Shariani Centre, Shariani Primary, Kuruwitu Beach Road, Shariani Pope, Vipingo slaughter from 9 am to 5 pm.
