Saturday blackout to affect 3 counties – Kenya Power

Kenya Power issued a notice informing Kenyans of power interruptions on Saturday, November 18, 2023, in select parts of three counties.

The counties affected include Nairobi, Kiambu and Bungoma.

The utility firm, in a statement, said there would be a scheduled outage from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. in the larger Vicken area of Nairobi county.

The affected include; Platinum Distillers, Vicken Thirty Park, Infinity, Shell petrol station, Cold Storage, Bypass, Infinity Est and adjacent areas.

Kenya Power said Ndenderu and Banana areas of Kiambu county will be affected by a 10-hour blackout, from 7 am to 5 pm.

The areas that will experience power outages include; Karuri hospital, Karuri police station, Karuri Exchange, Banana market, parts of Ruaka between Gacharaga and Ndenderu junction, National Oil Ndenderu, Shell Ndenderu, Delta Karuri, St Tito and adjacent places.

In Bungoma county, Khachonge and Webuye town will experience power interruptions from 9 am to 2 pm.

The areas within Khachoge that will be affected by blackout include; Bwake, Luuya Girls, Khachonge market, Kiboochi village, Kiboochi booster, Khachonge coffee and adjacent places.

In Webuye town, the places that will be affected by the power outage include;

Webuye sub-county hospital, Nabuyole Water treatment plant, Site and Service, Milo, Kakimayi, Khalumuli, Matulo, Sango, Pan African Chemical, Matete, Chebwayi, Mbande, Kuuywa, Nabwala, Mang’ana, Johari maize mill, Hongera maize mill, Munyikana, Malaha, Wenyila, Lugula market, Kakimayi, Khalumuli, Matulo, Kuuywa, Milo, Makhele, Ngowelo, Mang’ana, Nang’oto and adjacent places.
