Rhema Feast: Kathy Kiuna reveals she thought the devil had defeated her after husband died

Lady Bishop Kathy Kiuna has opened up about the painful period following the death of her husband Bishop Allan Kiuna, recalling a moment when she felt that the enemy had gained the upper hand before God intervened and turned her life around.

Speaking during a powerful ministration on Day Two of Rhema Feast on Tuesday, September 1, 2026, Kathy reflected on the grief and uncertainty she experienced after the death of her husband, saying she initially felt as though she had been defeated by the enemy.

“When my husband went to be with the Lord, and I thought that the enemy had me, God came in and took me,” Kathy recalled during her emotional message.

The prominent preacher said she eventually experienced a profound transformation, crediting God with lifting her from the difficult season, shielding her and giving her the strength to move forward despite the pain of losing her husband.

“And that is why I am at Rhema Feast today. Because God came and He took me and He lifted me and He turned me around and shielded me,” she said.

Kathy went on to describe God as the ultimate source of support for people who find themselves alone or overwhelmed by circumstances beyond their control.

“He is a Husband of husbands,” she declared.

The preacher then turned her personal experience into a message of hope for people who may currently be enduring painful seasons, urging them not to allow their suffering to convince them that their story has come to an end.

“So I want to talk to somebody. You don’t give up because of your pain,” Kathy told the congregation.

She encouraged those going through difficult moments to hold on to hope, suggesting that the very pain they were experiencing could precede a major breakthrough in their lives.

“Because that pain is about to pass. Something powerful; that pain is about to pass. Something awesome,” she said.

Kathy then called on the congregation to respond in worship as she brought her powerful ministration to a climax.

“In this space, raise your voices and say Hallelujah,” she told the gathering.

The ministration came on the second day of Rhema Feast, a popular Christian gathering being held at Uhuru Park in Nairobi and running from August 31 to September 4, 2026.

Day Two featured an equally powerful line-up of ministers, with Kathy Kiuna sharing the stage with prominent preachers and worship ministers from Kenya and beyond.

Among those headlining the day’s programme were Apostle Isi Igenegba, Minister Dr Tumi, Lady Bishop Funke Felix-Adejumo of Nigeria and Apostle Michael Orokpo.

The gathering, hosted by Ruach Assemblies founder Rev Julian Kyula, is being held under the theme “Come, Let Us Rebuild”, inspired by Nehemiah 2:17-18.
