ODM has captured 7 out of the 8 members of parliament seats in Homabay county. The party also captured the Governor, Senator and Woman representative positions.

Caroli Omondi captured the Suba South seat after the ODM National chairman John Mbadi opted to vie for the Couty top seat.

Mbadi later shelved his ambition and supported Gladys Wanga who won the seat against former Nairobi Governor Evance Kidero.

Kidero has said he will move to court to challenge Wanga’s election saying it was marred with irregularities. He said that security and the election officials influenced the outcome.

Moses Otieno Kajwang easily retained his Senator seat while a new entrant into the county politics, the former Kisumu roads executive Joyce Atieno Bensuda is the new county Woman representative.
