Agano party presidential candidate David Mwaure Waihiga has revealed a list of Kenyans who were proposed to serve in his cabinet if he clinches power in the August 9 elections.
While addressing the press, the presidential hopeful stated that his party had sent an appeal to Kenyans to help them suggest the names of people who should be in their cabinet if elected.
Among the names suggested are Education CS Gorge Magoha, Interior CS Fred Matiang’i, Bishop Anthony Muheria and Kisumu Archbishop Winnie Owiti.
“We sent an appeal to Kenyans to suggest to our party office names of gifted Kenyans from all spheres even from the press of people who can serve in the cabinet,
“From the current cabinet, the name of Interior CS Fred Matiang’i has been proposed, very strongly by more than one person. Also education CS George Magoha. And others are coming,” Mwaure stated.
He also noted that the name of Roots party presidential running mate Justina Wamae and former presidential candidate Reuben Kigame’s name was also on the list
At the same time, the presidential hopeful also mentioned that Mama Ida Odinga (Raila Odinga’s wife) name was also mentioned because she has always fought for the country.
Other names mentioned also include, PLO Lumumba, Justice David Maraga, Deputy president William Ruto’s wife Mama Rachel Ruto, singer Willy paul, Gospel artist Roy Smith Mwatia alias ‘Rufftone’, activist Okiya Omtatah, and KTN news anchor Zubeida Koome.
Mwaure further noted that his party will consider Roots party presidential candidate George Wajackoyah’s to be in charge of the Cancer Centre if he mends his ways.
“We have also said if Roots’ party leader George Wajackoyah mends his ways, there is something he is trying to tell Kenyans. We can make him be in charge of the Cancer Centre we want to develop,” he added.
He however underlined that they are yet to consult the individuals in question
