Property worthy millions of shillings have reportedly been gutted down by fire in Embu town following a scuffle between bodaboda riders and police.

Angry bodaboda riders demanding the release of two riders who had been arrested in the morning by police staged a demonstration outside Embu town police station before dispersing but later converged and started demonstrating within the streets, lighting a borne fire.

Later the wrangles spread to Shauri slums, where the riders lit up one house and the fire spread to nearby timber businesses leaving owners counting losses.

Tension remains very high in Embu town following the scuffle still yet to calm down.

This comes barely a day after a standoff that was witnessed between miraa traders and bodaboda riders.
