Olympic maestro Eliud Kipchoge is set to tackle the Boston Marathon for the first time on Monday, April 17, 2023.

The world champion has previously described himself as a fan of the Boston Marathon, which will be entering its 127th edition this year.

“I think it’s a great motivation for the human family,” he said in an interview in March. “It’s good for people to run on it and feel it and get the experience. It’s a positive thing.”

The 127th Boston Marathon will take place on Monday, April 17, 2023, featuring nearly 30,000 athletes from more than 100 countries.

Out of the 30,000 athletes, Kipchoge seems to be the centre of attention, having broken records in previous marathons across the world.

Apart from the records, Kipchoge is set to earn millions if he clinches the gold medal, estimated to be USD 150,000 or approximately Ksh20 million.

It is estimated that a grand total of $879,500 (Ksh118 million) will be distributed among the men and women competing in the oldest annual marathon on the planet.

Award Kipchoge will get if he breaks record
