We’ll keep believing and pushing – Morrison says on K’Ogalo’s title prospects
By Luke Oluoch, February 1, 2026Gor Mahia midfielder Enoch Morisson has shared his elation after leading Gor Mahia to a famous league victory over Sofapaka on Saturday, January 31, 2026, at the Nyayo National Stadium.
Speaking after the win, Morisson opined that the team can look forward to mulling the prospect of lifting the title even as the race remains close.
He, however, cautioned about being carried away by the recent success, asserting that the players must equally work to sustain the push by maintaining the winning tempo.
Upbeat
“The mood is high; we are focused and equally motivated that we can win the league. We are watching the table with more optimism and belief. We have to keep believing and push ourselves to the end,” he stated.
The swashbuckling Ghanaian also opened up on being entrusted with the leadership responsibility for the clash, terming it an honour to don the armband.
“It is a great feeling to lead the team out and be a leader of this great team on the pitch,” he explained.
Morrison was among the stars who got on the goal involvement, with his assist for the first goal, affirming his influential role in green army ranks.

Morrison’s sentiments come after Gor Mahia coach Charles Akonnor lauded the performance of his defender during the clash. Akonnor singled out centre back Frank Odhiambo for his goal-scoring heroics.
Odhiambo set the team on to the easy win after nodding home a crucial opener early on in his first start since returning to the club from Sweden.
Trained for set pieces
“It is exciting. We trained a lot on our set pieces; we have been encouraging them to attack them. I am very happy for Frank, who scored for the first time; he came and scored, which is good for the team and our momentum. We hope to continue in this run,” he stated.
The victory eventually assured Gor Mahia’s recent league run stays intact, with Gor now moving four points atop the league standings.
Conversely, it compounded matters for Ezekiel Akwana’s side. Batoto ba Mungu’s free fall continued unabated, with the club slumping to an 11th league defeat.
The team remains second from bottom in the pile, with the danger of relegation becoming more realistic.
