Nairobi Utd hold Bandari as Wangaya shines in FKF PL clash

Nairobi United and Bandari settled for a 1-1 draw in an entertaining Football Kenya Federation Premier League Week 22 encounter at Mbaraki Sports on Wednesday, February 25, 2026, with both sides sharing the spoils after a tightly contested match marked by contrasting styles of play.
Narobi United struck first through Benson Omala, who found the back of the net in the 23rd minute to hand Naibois an early advantage. However, the home side responded almost immediately, with Amza Moubarack finding the equaliser in the 28th minute.

Coast Stima, however, proved more clinical when chances arose, posting a superior shot accuracy of 75 per cent compared to Nairobi United’s 25 per cent. The hosts also displayed a more physical edge, picking up three yellow cards, while Nairobi United completed the match without a booking.
Wangaya named Man of the Match
Nairobi United’s new signing Kevin Wangaya emerged as the standout performer and was deservedly named Man of the Match following an influential display.
Wangaya played a pivotal role in his team’s attacking movements, contributing one assist while creating three goal-scoring opportunities. The energetic midfielder also attempted three crosses, made two touches inside the opponent’s penalty area, and registered one shot attempt during the match.
His creativity and composure in midfield helped Nairobi United maintain control for large spells, ultimately ensuring his side secured a valuable point away from home, after scoring his first league goal for Nairobi United against Bidco United previously.
