AFC Leopards unveil new players ahead of 2026/27 season

AFC Leopards’ new signings have been officially presented to the fans at the Nyayo National Stadium ahead of the start of the new Football Kenya Premier League 2026/27 season.
The unveiling was part of the club’s big pre-season day on Saturday, August 22, 2026, at Nyayo National Stadium and served as a curtain-raiser to their final pre-season encounter against KCCA FC. Among those unveiled to the fans present were former Kariobangi Sharks duo Kevin Luke Otiala and Sebastainos Wekesa.
Other new imports include Ugandan Taddeo Lwanga from reigning Ugandan champions Vipers SC, who has been roped in to provide veteran leadership and steel in midfield, as well as Adama Kantet.

Others include experienced Ugandan goalkeeper Tom Ikara from BUL FC and defender Robinson Musungu from Mara Sugar FC. Musa Ceesay and Naaman Balecho from Bandari wrap up the new signings brought in by Fred Ambani for the new season.
The colourful squad unveiling was followed by a team photo session, with the technical bench and the playing squad taking a picture ahead of the new Premier League kick-off.
The squad presentation then led into the final friendly as Ingwe prepared to host the Ugandan giants in one final act for the club faithful to watch, the players in non-competitive action before the league opener.

AFC Leopards will open their title quest against Murang’a Seal on Sunday, August 30, 2026. Ingwe head into the 2026/27 season with their work cut out, tipped to go one step better after finishing as runners-up in the 2025/26 season behind champions Gor Mahia.
Ingwe’s fine preseason run
Optimism has been further boosted by the club’s fine pre-season run. Ingwe downed Nairobi United 3–1 on Sunday, August 16, 2026, at the Police Sacco Grounds in Nairobi.
New signings were on display, with Musa Ceesay scoring for Fred Ambani’s charges against the Patrick Aussems-coached side, while Musa Kanteh also impressed in a three-man midfield.
Other pre-season victories included a 2–0 win over Kakamega Homeboyz, a 1–0 victory over Pamba Jiji in Tanzania, and wins against lower-tier sides during their earlier pre-season camp in Nakuru County.
