History in sight as Harambee Stars pair chase domestic double in Sunday’s final

Zambia-based Harambee Stars striker Moses Shumah and teammate Emmanuel Osoro are aiming to lead Power Dynamos to a historic double this Sunday, May 10, 2026.
The two attackers will lead Aba Yellow against fierce rivals Red Arrows FC in a high-stakes final at the Levy Mwanawasa Stadium, with both a lucrative trophy and club glory on the line.
Shumah’s scoring prowess
The cup final comes just days after Power Dynamos clinched the 2026 league title. Moses Shumah’s impressive goal-scoring form helped the club secure back-to-back championships, marking their ninth league title with four matches to spare.
With the league trophy already secured, the club has shifted its full focus to Sunday’s cup tie. Both Shumah and Osoro, formerly of KPL side Talanta FC, have been instrumental in this cup run.
Their contributions included a 2–0 win over Nampundwe FC on Friday, April 4, 2026, which booked their place in the quarterfinals.
Road to the Final:
Power Dynamos, under coach Oswald Mutapa, earned their spot in the final by edging out Mufulira Wanderers 2-1 on penalties following a goalless draw on Saturday, April 24, 2026.

On the other side, the Zambian Army side, Red Arrows, delivered a composed display to defeat a spirited lower-tier side, Chirundu United, 2-0. Goals from Angel Lubamba in the 15th minute and Joseph Phiri in the 83rd minute ensured the Airmen safely navigated the semifinals.
Trophy in sight
The upcoming encounter holds immense weight for both teams. For the Kenyan duo, it represents a golden opportunity to add another trophy to their resumes during a remarkable debut season in Zambia.
Osor and Shumah linked up with the Kitwe-based giants from the Kenyan Premier League in 2025.
Osoro, a prolific goal-scorer, netted 16 goals and provided seven assists in the 2024-2025 Kenyan Premier League season, a feat that saw the club snap him up on a two-year permanent deal.
Shumah, meanwhile, was signed after topping the FKF PL scoring charts with 17 goals.
