Harambee Stars’ Moses Shumah tops Zambian league scoring charts at mid-season mark
Harambee Stars striker Moses Shumah’s quest for back-to-back golden boot accolades appears to be on course as the striker is perched atop the Zambian Super League scoring charts midway through the campaign.
Shumah hit his seventh goal of the season as Power Dynamos defeated Mutondo Stars 2-0 to move second in the standings, just a point behind leaders Red Arrows.
Shumah’s goalscoring prowess has been influential in Dynamos’ march to defend their league title.
Lead scorer
He is placed ahead of fellow import Christopher Itak of Congo, who has scored six goals, while Albert Kangwada and Collins Sikombe come in third and fourth with four goals apiece.
Shumah’s prowess in front of goal has also played a critical role in Dynamos’ title defense quest, with the side leading the standings after 17 games with points.
The former Kakamega Homeboyz attacker has enjoyed a fine showing as the club started the 2025 season on a high. Among his standout club moments are his brace against Npasa Stars and goals against Vipers SC in the second round stage of the CAF inter-club competitions.

On the continental front, Shumah has also made his mark recently, helping the Zambian champions to pick up four points against Rivers United and get their campaign back on track.
Oswald Mutapa edged Rivers in a CAF Champions League Group C stage return leg clash on Sunday, February 1, 2026, to pick up their maiden win of the group stages.
The tie followed after the Kenyan helped the club to its first point in the group, coming in as a substitute in Dynamos’ 0-0 draw against the same opponent a week earlier.
CAF Duties
Dynamos’ next task remains on the continental stage, where they host RS Berkane at Levy Mwanawasa Stadium on Saturday, February 7, 2026, before travelling to Egypt to face Pyramids FC a week later.
With only two games left to conclude the group encounter, Shumah and Dynamos will be eyeing improved tidings against the fancied opponent if they are to stand any chance of progressing from the group stages.
The Moroccan outfit hit Dynamos for three in the first leg, pitting the two in Morocco as the CAF group stages campaign kicked off.
