Harambee Starlets vice-captain Mwanahalima Adams has been crowned a league champion in the Danish women’s top-tier league with HB Køge.

HB Køge clinched the country’s Championship A-League title, sealing their fourth crown overall after a 3-1 victory over Kolding on Saturday, June 13, 2026. The feat sealed a league double, adding to the Danish Women’s Super Cup championship they had bagged in a dominant 4-1 victory over FC Nordsjælland Women in May.

‘Dogo’ debuted on the local scene with Mombasa Olympics before rising to prominence with Thika Queens, whom she inspired to an undefeated season while becoming the league’s top scorer in 2021.

In 2024, Dogo made Kenyan football history by signing with the Kansas City Current in the U.S. National Women’s Soccer League, becoming the first Kenyan to compete in that league. She later moved to Denmark on loan from the National Women’s Soccer League (NWSL).

Throughout her impressive club career, she has been a formidable presence in the Harambee Starlets ranks, twice helping the team to its two historic qualifications for the Women’s Africa Cup of Nations nine years ago and the recent feat in 2026.

She recently skippered the team in the Four Nations tournament, helping Beldine Odemba to a second-place finish in the FIFA Women’s Series, where the team lost the final to the Australian Matildas.

Her immediate appearance for the Harambee Starlets saw her crowned among the most outstanding players as the Starlets ramped up preparations for their 2026 Women’s Africa Cup of Nations return in Zambia during the Four-Nations tournament involving Zambia, Zimbabwe, and Lesotho.
