Australia edge Harambee Starlets to lift FIFA Series crown at Nyayo Stadium

Harambee Starlets fell to a 2-0 defeat against Australia’s Matildas in their final match of the FIFA Series in Nairobi, as the visitors sealed the title with a composed and convincing performance at Nyayo National Stadium on Wednesday, April 15, 2026.
Goals from Samantha Kerr and Clare Wheeler ensured the Australia women’s national football team maintained their dominance, capitalising on key moments in the game to secure victory.
Despite showing resilience and determination, Harambee Starlets were unable to break down the well-organized Australian defense, ultimately settling for a goalless outing at home.

The result sees the Matildas crowned FIFA Series champions, while the Starlets will take valuable lessons from the high-level competition as they continue to build for future assignments.
