Hull City cut ties with Harambee Stars forward ahead of new Premier League season

Hull City have confirmed their retained list following the conclusion of the 2025/26 Sky Bet Championship campaign, with the club beginning preparations for life in the Premier League next season.
Th Tigers have announced that Kenya’s Harambee Stars forward Sammy Henia-Kamau alongside Pharrell Brown, Rocco Coyle, João Mendes, Harry Revill, Noah Wadsworth and Callum Yam will leave the club following the expiry of their contracts.
Sammy Henia-Kamau earned his Harambee Stars debut during the recent June international break against Lesotho. Kamau has been a mainstay in the English lower-tier league, with past stints at Swansea City and Hull City’s reserves.

Meanwhile, according to the statement released by Hull City on Wednesday, June 10, 2026, goalkeeper Harvey Cartwright will remain at the MKM Stadium after the club activated a one-year extension clause in his contract. The decision will keep the shot-stopper at Hull City until the end of the 2026/27 season.
However, midfielder Harry Vaughan is set to depart the club when his current deal expires on June 30, 2026. Vaughan, who spent part of the season on loan at Irish side Bohemians, will bring his time with the Tigers to an end this summer.
Notable returnees
Several first-team loanees will also return to their parent clubs at the end of their temporary spells. Toby Collyer, Joe Gelhardt, Amir Hadžiahmetović, Yū Hirakawa, Lewis Koumas and John Lundstram will all leave Hull upon the expiration of their loan agreements on June 30.
The club confirmed that all other senior players remain contracted for the 2026/27 Premier League campaign, providing continuity as Hull prepare for the challenges of top-flight football.
At Under-21 level, James Debayo, Cathal McCarthy, Hugh Parker, Tyrell Sellars-Fleming and Khiani Shombe will continue with the club next season after remaining under contract.
Hull have also opened contract discussions with several academy prospects, offering new deals to Stan Ashbee, Ed Devine, Archie Howard, Aidon Shehu and Nathan Tinsdale.
Youth development
The club’s youth development pathway continues to progress, with Under-18 players Ramell Carter and Josh Ocaya earning professional contracts and promotion to the Under-21 squad ahead of the new season.
Further opportunities have been handed to Zac Jagielka, Charlie Leach, Calvin Okike and Reuben Silk, who have all been offered professional terms for the 2026/27 campaign.

Alfie Maskell has also been offered a six-month professional contract after injuries limited his involvement during the majority of his second scholarship year.
Several academy players will depart at the conclusion of their scholarships, including Cayden Cole, Oskar Gruszkowski, Jake Hopper, Rory Leech and Jack Topley.
Hull also confirmed that a number of first-year scholars will progress into the second year of their academy development programme. They include George Akinniranye, Alex Edey, Ted Gode, Sasha Gomeniuk, Albert Matique, Bobby Moore, Kerr Reynolds, Dellan Robinson, Emmanuel Sarpong, Ekemini Umoren and Coist Walker.
