Juventus coach Spalletti unfazed by Arsenal interest in Yildiz

Juventus manager Luciano Spalletti has played down concerns over reported interest from Arsenal in highly rated forward Kenan Yildiz, making it clear that he wants the young player to remain in Turin.
Speaking ahead of Juventus’ Serie A opener against Frosinone on Sunday, August 23, 2026, Spalletti said he was relaxed about the situation and insisted that transfer offers would not change his stance.
“They can offer whatever they like; I want Yildiz here,” Spalletti said.
The Italian coach explained that he sees no reason to become distracted by speculation surrounding the player, particularly given Yildiz’s importance to his plans.
“I experience it calmly because the player is Yildiz. From my point of view, it’s simple. (Laughs) They can offer whatever they want.

“I want to be able to field Yildiz next season, and Yildiz is a guy who is perfect to have mature conversations with. And consequently, he knows very well that he shouldn’t rush anything, that he shouldn’t speed anything up.
“His future is already important at Juventus. It’s not important because someone offers 100m or because there is a club that has the financial power to spend at this moment. He is already at the club that offers 100m for him. So, we are all very calm,” he said.
Spalletti’s comments underline Juventus’ determination to retain Yildiz despite growing speculation that Arsenal could make a significant approach for the Turkish international.
Akvarez situation
Ahead of the transfer window closure, the future of Julián Álvarez has been a hot topic all summer. The former Manchester City forward remains keen to join Barcelona, but Atlético Madrid are understandably a bit edgy about selling their best player to a domestic rival.

It seems Atléti would prefer him to go to Arsenal. A meeting between Miguel Ángel Gil Marín, the club’s chief suit and Alvarez is scheduled, where the latter’s future will be thrashed out. Stand by, Gunners fans.
However, reports from Spain also reveal the Argentine forward has ruled out a return to the English Premier League, making his move to the Emirates unlikely.
