It is part of my destiny: Nyako emotionally defends reason she decided to marry fellow woman

Germany-based Kenyan TikToker Nyako has opened up about her decision to marry a fellow woman, saying she has found love and believes the relationship is part of her destiny.
Speaking during a TikTok Live on Saturday, August 22, 2026, Nyako said she had made the decision to marry the woman she described as her partner and insisted that the relationship was not something she needed to justify to her followers.
Nyako said she had reached her decision after finding what she considered genuine love and was prepared to remain committed to her partner through the different stages of life.
“And I have decided to be married by a fellow woman. And that is how it is, and that woman is the one who will bury me when I die because that is what I have found right,” she said.
The TikToker invoked the traditional marriage vow of remaining together through difficult and prosperous times, saying she intended to honour that commitment regardless of what people thought about her relationship.
“I have made this decision. In poverty, in richness, till death do us part. Even you, you say what is till death do us part?” she said.
Nyako also pushed back against people who might question her decision, saying she believed the matter was ultimately between her and God rather than her online audience.
“Judgement belongs only to God. Not you all here on TikTok,” she said.

She maintained that she had found love in the relationship and described the woman as part of her destiny.
“That is where I have found love. That is my destiny. This lady is my destiny,” Nyako said.
She revealed that her partner had been expected to travel to see her during August but had been delayed by family-related circumstances.
“She was to come this month but she is not coming because of family reason. She is stuck, but she will come,” she said.
Nyako added that she would not necessarily announce her partner’s arrival to her online followers, suggesting that some aspects of their relationship would remain private.
“And I will not have to tell you when she comes,” she said.
Plans for a blood agreement
Nyako also spoke about a symbolic commitment she said the two planned to make, describing what she referred to as a blood agreement.
She said both she and her partner would have blood drawn and combined as a way of symbolically making them one.
“And so we will do a blood agreement. She will have blood removed from her body and me also, and they will be put together to make us one,” she said.
Nyako further discussed what she said would happen to her children should she die, explaining that she wanted her partner to assume responsibility for them because she did not have children of her own.
“Now if I die, all my children will be under my girlfriend because she has no children,” she said.
She added that, in the event of her death, she expected her partner to take responsibility for her children.
“In any case I die without saying, all my children will be her responsibility,” Nyako said.
The TikToker also made a light-hearted remark about her partner’s possessions, saying she would not inherit anything from her should her partner die, apart from her dog.
“She does not have any children, so if she dies I will not inherit anything. She has a dog though. That is what I will inherit,” she said.
